ALO WELLNESS
RESORT

The renderings are inspired by Costa Rica’s lush landscape. The goal was to bring the outdoors inside and enclose guests in a tropical oasis due to the benefits of biophilic design. Neutral tones and sustainable materials were selected as well.

WHANAU RESTAURANT & BAR

The renderings are inspired by the Maori indigenous culture in South Island, New Zealand. The goal was to celebrate the culture, not appropriate it. This was done through material selections and custom seating like the spiral, monolithic limestone seating that includes both bar and banquette seating with room for biophilic additions. The spiral, or koru as the Maori call it, represents the cycle of life.

THIEN NHIEN HEALTH CLINIC

The renderings are inspired the Vietnamese community in Westminster, CA. Cultural competency, patient needs, and ergonomics were woven into the design. Vietnam’s intricate latticework, water lilies, and tranquil landscape. Harmony, rhythm, and balance were the key design principles utilized in this health clinic.
